Summary: Usb mounted volume not working on Windows 2008

Initial Comment:
Running rdesktop on Thinstation 2.2.1 or CentOS 5.2 LiveCD with updated rdesktop 1.6.0. Tested on many differents hardware clients.

The servers :
- Windows 2008 Std x86-64 SP1 + all updates (in french) - 8 Gb RAM
- Windows 2008 Std x86-64 SP1 + all updates (in english) - 12 Gb RAM
- Windows 2003 Std 32 bits SP2 + all updates  (in french)- 4 Gb RAM
- Windows 2008 Ent 32 bits Trial SP1 + all updates (in french) - 4 Gb RAM


The problem:

When connecting to the servers (the symtom is the same on the three servers). The redirection for an usb key works fine.
But when mapping a drive letter to this usb key, this works for the first 10 second. after that time, the server reply that the network disk is not reachable.
Disconnecting the drive letter don't resolve problem.
The only solution is to disconnect and reconnect without using a drive letter.

When using Windows TSE client, this problem does not occur.
The usb key is not the source of problem because I can recreate problem with 5 differents usb keys

The commands lines used :
rdesktop -k fr -f serv-er -u 'admin' -r disk:cle:=/mnt/usbdevice/sda1 -r sound:local -r lspci -B -D -5 -N -a 15 -z
rdesktop -k fr -f server -u 'admin' -r disk:cle:=/mnt/disk/sda1 -r sound:local -r lspci -B -D -5 -N -a 15 -z
rdesktop -k fr -f server -u 'admin' -r disk:cle:=/mnt/disk/sda1 -B -D -5 -N -a 15 -z

The log information about sessions :
- On the Thinstation :

-on the CentOS 5.2 :

This type of problem does not occur in Windows 2003 TSE environment. It is specific of 2008 Server.

It seems to me, that this is a bug...

Same problem, all is good when i do something with files at the root of
mounted folder, but some action inside subfolder give me this error

I have the same problem too. It's due to a new function in Windows 2008.

Hi all ... I have got the same problem., but I suspect it is due to the
RDP-Protocol version 6.1 used with both 2008 and Vista. And so far no-one
has  implemented the changes. Most things are working, but obviously you
hit a problem.

Same Effect with Windows Vista.
It does not depend on USB-Stick, I got the Error on an Directory from
local HDD
