Category: Internals Group: None >Status: Closed >Resolution: Duplicate Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: USB Drive Initial Comment: When trying to copy a file from a USB drive to a WIN2008 with SP2 or WIN2008R2 the copy always fails. So it's impossible to use USB drives in units connecting through rdesktop. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Henrik Andersson (hean01) Date: 2010-12-28 16:24 Message: This is a duplicate and fixes are commited. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Benoit Audette (ge3or) Date: 2009-11-18 18:30 Message: It seems to work correctly with this patch : https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2894210&group_id=24366&atid=381349 I've just finished rebuilding my Thinstation from scratch (I was using TS-o-matic before) and now I can create/delete files anywhere on my USB key ! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Marc-Andre Moreau (mamoreau) Date: 2009-11-12 20:12 Message: It looks like a bug I fixed in FreeRDP. IIRC, the code has trouble doing path concatenations and end up with wrong file paths, except for paths starting from the root. If anybody wants to port the patch to rdesktop, you are welcome. Here are the files I modified: http://freerdp.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/freerdp/trunk/disk.c?view=log http://freerdp.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/freerdp/trunk/rdpdr.c?view=log Look at the diff's for what I had to change. Not everything in the changes I've done are related to that bug, however, so look at the commits that refer to it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Benoit Audette (ge3or) Date: 2009-11-12 19:58 Message: Confirmed.... :( it only works in the root of the drive. well... I get back on this problem and if I find something I will post it! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2009-11-12 19:49 Message: Ge3or It works for only in the roor of the pen drive. If you try to write to a folder it seems to have the problem. Can you confirm please ? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Benoit Audette (ge3or) Date: 2009-11-05 21:11 Message: I had this problem and could get USB working by changing the path for the redirection. For exemple, I was using -r USB=/mnt/usbdevice I changed it to -r USB=/mnt/usbdevice/sda1 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=381347&aid=2883264&group_id=24366 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Learn how Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) One Node allows customers to consolidate database storage, standardize their database environment, and, should the need arise, upgrade to a full multi-node Oracle RAC database without downtime or disruption http://p.sf.net/sfu/oracle-sfdevnl
