Summary: rdesktop connection fails
Initial Comment:
Hi
I have installed VMware GSX server 2.5.1 on red hat
linux. I can access the guest XP machine from a Window
XP machine.
However from a Linux machine with rdesktop 1.2.0 I
can not access the Guest VM that is of type Windows XP,
loaded through VMware. When I attempt to access the
host I get ERROR: connect: Connection refused.
The only time rdesktop loads up properly is if I go
to my VMware Remote Console (installed on a separate
win XP machine) and bring up the guest OS and log in to
the guest OS. Then once I run the same rdesktop command
it connects and shows the guest OS in X windows.
The rdesktop command I run in both cases is:
rdesktop u userid p password server server-ip-address
Any idea why this is happening and does anyone has
any suggestions. Any help is appreciated.

All of the data generated in your IT infrastructure is seriously valuable.
Why? It contains a definitive record of application performance, security
threats, fraudulent activity, and more. Splunk takes this data and makes
sense of it. IT sense. And common sense.
