Summary: Failed to open display

Initial Comment:
I am trying to run the remote desktop from a SecureCRT
connection, with Xwin running. I get the following error
message:

...
ERROR: ui_create_window(): Failed to open display
disconnecting

If anyone has any suggestions as to how I could avoid
this, and actually successfully run the remote desktop,
could you please let me know?

Thanks!

Kaili

First try opening another X app, like xeyes.

You probably changed user, or connected without X redirection.

Explain better the Scenario...

All of the data generated in your IT infrastructure is seriously valuable.
Why? It contains a definitive record of application performance, security
threats, fraudulent activity, and more. Splunk takes this data and makes
sense of it. IT sense. And common sense.
