Category: None Group: None >Status: Closed Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Minimal Linux Install that boots directly to RDP Login Initial Comment: I would like to build a stripped down workstation that boots quickly and directly into a terminal session. The end user would not use the workstation for anything except the RDP Client. Any suggestions? Can you force Linux to automatically login to a basic user account and load the program upon startup? How would this be done? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Samuel (samhed) Date: 2011-07-08 16:59 Message: Closing due to inactivity by the submitter. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2004-07-21 20:54 Message: Logged In: NO www.thinstation.org ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Patrick Rouse (pcrouse) Date: 2004-05-23 06:35 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=987475 http://thinstation.sourceforge.net Other downloads: http://www.workthin.com/tsdown.htm Other option (although not free) is F.Boot Desktop by terminal-services.net, which does exactly what you're asking for. http://www.workthin.com/tsao.htm Patrick Rouse Microsoft MVP - Terminal Server http://www.workthin.com ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2004-05-02 18:29 Message: Logged In: NO pxes.sourceforge.net ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2003-12-16 18:22 Message: Logged In: NO Thinstation ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=381348&aid=859606&group_id=24366 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ All of the data generated in your IT infrastructure is seriously valuable.
