Summary: Minimal Linux Install that boots directly to RDP Login

Initial Comment:
I would like to build a stripped down workstation that
boots quickly and directly into a terminal session.
The end user would not use the workstation for anything
except the RDP Client. Any suggestions? Can you force
Linux to automatically login to a basic user account
and load the program upon startup? How would this be done?

Other option (although not free) is F.Boot Desktop by
terminal-services.net, which does exactly what you're asking
for.

All of the data generated in your IT infrastructure is seriously valuable.
Why? It contains a definitive record of application performance, security
threats, fraudulent activity, and more. Splunk takes this data and makes
sense of it. IT sense. And common sense.
