I'm using rdesktop 1.3.1 (on a number of different Debian machines) to connect to an XP Pro machine. Everything works great, except that all application windows lack their usual bubbly, fisher-price-style window decorations and minimize/maximize/close buttons. Instead, the window decorations look much like what you get when you start a command prompt under XP. They're just flat blue, with plain gray min/max/close buttons. Is there something I can do to correct this, or are XP-style window decorations just not supported? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Samuel (samhed) Date: 2011-07-14 14:17 Message: Resolved, closing. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2004-09-26 03:24 Message: Logged In: NO I finaly figured how to get the decorations and wallpaper working with XP! Just use the rdp 4 protocol instead of rdp 5. Its done using the "-4" option. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2004-09-19 16:36 Message: Logged In: NO I have the same problem. I'm not sure weather the problem is with XP or rdesktop. The login prompt appears with the XP luna theme but after the login the theming changes. The themeing works fine when usinging mstsc.exe(remote desktop client) on winxp. When connecting with rdesktop after a previous winxp session with themes using mstsc, imediatly after the login, the taskbar and windows appear with themes for a split second and then themes are removed. It seems like rdesktop is able to display the themes but winxp isn't allowing it to. My guess this could be due to some policy although I've been unsuccessful in finding it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2004-09-19 06:02 Message: Logged In: NO I got the same problem under fc2. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=381348&aid=1022860&group_id=24366 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ AppSumo Presents a FREE Video for the SourceForge Community by Eric Ries, the creator of the Lean Startup Methodology on "Lean Startup Secrets Revealed."
