I understand. I guess the question is how many such systems are 
interesting to the rdesktop users.

There are many options. Instead of SDL, one can consider a FLTK port. This 
would likely make the keyboard handling easier.

Good. General fixes are always interesting. For SDL, I'm still not sure 
it's worth integrating it on "trunk", but we could consider creating a 
special branch in the Subversion tree for it. That would make it easier to 
maintain the port.
