Hello.
I've got a bit of a problem here. I'm using rdesktop 1.4.1 on a Mandriva 2007 client and a Windows 2003 Server. Connecting to the server works fine, but I can't use the local serial port. There's a TAPI phone attached to the port, and while "change port" results in the output:
AUX=\DosDevices\COM1
COM1=\Device\RdpDrPort\;COM1:1\tsclient\COM1
COM2=\Device\Serial1
the phone does not work. According to the TAPI driver, the phone is addressed at COM1. However, if I attach the phone to COM1 on the server, it works like it's supposed to. I've got the same problem with another machine that runs Win2000 and Remote Desktop 6.0. The ports appear as correctly mapped, but the phone remains inactive. I've checked that I'm a member of group tty on the Linux system.
Does anyone know, what causes this problem? Is there an issue with TAPI devices? Do I need to upgrade to rdesktop 1.5.0? It didn't compile so far (neither the CVS version, nor the downloadable archive), but I'd keep trying if I knew it's worth it.
CU,
André
