winlogon.exe - Application error

Hi,
I'm using rdesktop 1.5.0 and grdesktop v0.23 to connect from a
Gentoo linux machine to a Windows XP machine, through a openVPN
connection. I keep getting strange errors from some of the
applications running on the XP machine. It seems to happen randomly
but it will eventually happen after a couple of minutes after I log
on the XP machine. I get a winlogon.exe Application Error with
division by zero, thunderbird has encoutered a problem and must be
restareted, YahooMessenger will also pop up an error window etc.

If I simply ignore the error dialogs and I do not press any button
on them, most of the applications work correctly, except YMesenger.

What could the problem be? I have googled for this problem but found
no answer.
