I must be missing something obvious.

What would be the use of rdesktop for windows.
What can you do with it that you can't do with the built in Windows client??

Thanks,
Craig.

Subject: [rdesktop-users] Rdesktop 1.5.0 for Windows

Hi guys

A lot of guys has been asking me to compile the latest Rdesktop release for
Windows - just as I did with some previous versions. I am sorry that I
havn't reply'ed to all your emails - but I hope that the following link
will help you forgive me. :-)

http://downloads.sourceforge.net/msi-repository/Rdesktop-1.5.0.msi?modtime=1190908191&big_mirror=0

The package contains the Rdesktop.exe along with some required dll´s, and
the sourcecode used for compiling Rdesktop. To install the sourcecode along
with the program, you must use the following command: msiexec /i
Rdesktop-1.5.0.msi INSTALLLEVEL=10

For more msiexec options - run the msiexec command without any options.

Please note that the Windows binary requires a running X server on your
client. I would recomend Xming, but any working X server would do just
fine. While we are at it - if you should se the following message: ERROR:
Failed to open display: - then you got a problem with your X server, and
not the Rdesktop program. If the X server is running, the cause is most
likely a missing DISPLAY environment variable. Try setting the DISPLAY
environment variable to 127.0.0.1:0 before asking for help.

With this release of the Rdesktop Win32 binary - any previously announced
links to the older versions, will stop working.
