that is true.
You can transfer files or install from a CD mounted on your computer.

However, it depends on the setting of the remote system whether this
will work or not.
It can be switched off by the Administrator, e.g. in some banks over
here the servers are
configured like that. And that is completely OK.

Sometimes you'll see an entry in the event log stating so, sometimes you
don't.

So, it's not always an rdesktop problem if it doesn't work.
