Unable to launch an application in RDP shell

hi all, I am trying to launch an application in RDP shell with -s option. The command is as follows: rdesktop -g 800x600 -a 16 -r sound:local -s notepad -x l -k en-us 107.108.92.138 The notepad application is launched in some servers while I am unable to launch it in some other RDP servers. I am unable to figure out why it is behaving in such a manner. Is there any specific settings for the Windows XP RDP Server to launch an application ? If yes, then I want to know such settings.
