Greetings. I am running rdesktop 1.6.0, compiled from sources, on an x86-64 openSUSE 11.0 system. I am trying to connect to a Windows 2003 Server. I have found that I am able to connect at 16-bit colour without problems using pretty much any combination of command-line options. However, whenever I try to use the -A option, the connection is made at 8-bit colour and the following message is printed to the console: WARNING: Remote desktop does not support colour depth 24; falling back to 8 I tried forcing the colour depth to 16 with -a 16, but the same problem occurs (except that the word "24" is replaced with "16" in the console warning message). Is this a limitation of the SeamlessRDP protocol? Is there something I need to reconfigure on the Windows machine? Or is this a bug in rdesktop?
