Hi to all, I am experiencing some problems with USB disk redirection with rdesktop-1.6 I am connecting a linux client, with a linux custom distribution (linux from scratch) with glibc 2.3.6 and kernel 2.6.20, to the terminal server of a windows XP PC, virtualized with VMWare infrastructure. The usb storage devices are redirected to the XP terminal server with the option -r disk:usbdevices=/mnt/usbdevices /mnt/usbdevices is the directory where all the usb storage devices are mounted, on the linux client, with different directories (es. /mnt/usbdevices/disk1, /mnt/usbdevices/disk2, etc.) All works well during the rdesktop session except for some USB storage device: they appear on the server side, but after some time the server avoids the access to the usb resources... sometime in the RDP session I have an authorization error, sometime I see the redirected device as an empty window. I can say that the problem is related to the RDP session, because while in the RDP session I can't use the redirected usb device (ex. usbdevices\disk1), on the linux client I can normally work on the mounted dir /mnt/usbdevices/disk1. I can't understand if the problem is related to rdesktop program or to the server side infrastructure. Has anyone experienced the same problem? Many thanks in advance. -- Fabio Zeri -- [ Metarete - X Service Provider - Soluzioni in rete ] http://www.metarete.it - [email protected] Tel: +39 0372 432228 - Fax: +39 0372 590617 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.net email is sponsored by: SourcForge Community SourceForge wants to tell your story. http://p.sf.net/sfu/sf-spreadtheword
