RDesktop error in Mac

Hi .
I build rdesktop 1.6.0 successfully in my Mac OS 10.4.11 .
But when i want to run the app. from the terminal i am getting following error
ERROR : Failed to open display .
even I had installed darwin ports also . but it doesn't help me .
If anybody knows the solution please reply me .
