debugging rdesktop

Can someone give me some pointers in how to debug rdesktop? I suspect the problem is actually with Xorg but I only experience it when using rdesktop so I have to make sure before I make a bug report. The problem happens mostly randomly but completely locks the system up so that I have to restart X to use rdesktop again. The fact I have to restart X makes me think the problem is with Xorg but it only being with rdesktop makes me think I need to start there first.
