I've been using rdesktop for years now, routinely using my Ubuntu laptop to rdp to my home and work XP systems. This morning, I'm unable to get to my home system. When I try to connect the screen flashes, then returns to the prompt. No error messages at all. I can still rdp to my work system, and I can VNC into the home system - just no rdp. The only thing I've changed since the last time I was able to successfully log on - last night - is that I put a GTX 260 video card into the home desktop. That's it - no OS upgrade; no new patches; nothing. I can't believe that would cause this, but it's the only change made. I'm not sure where to start debugging this - I can't find any errors in /ver/log/messages. A pointer in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. -- Tim Boyer [email protected] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Open Source Business Conference (OSBC), March 24-25, 2009, San Francisco, CA -OSBC tackles the biggest issue in open source: Open Sourcing the Enterprise -Strategies to boost innovation and cut costs with open source participation -Receive a $600 discount off the registration fee with the source code: SFAD http://p.sf.net/sfu/XcvMzF8H
