I'm guessing you usually use a gui to connect (like TSClient), if so
then try using the command line instead. e.g. open xterm/gnome-terminal
and type: rdesktop and then the IP address of your server.

It probably won't make it suddenly work, but unlike TSClient, when it
fails it should give you a message telling you why. Post the message
here and we can help further.
