Create folder gives "Error 0x8007048F: The device is not connected"

Hi folks,

     I'm using rdesktop 1.6.0 to connect to Windows Vista "Enterprise" 
virtual machine, running under VMware View (if that makes any difference).
I use a command like:

vmware-view -r disk:mycomp=$HOME

to make my local home directory available on the remote Windows machine.

     I find that I can browse around in "mycomp" with no problem, walking
the directory tree and opening files, but if I try to create a new folder
(using Windows' right-click --> New --> Folder) I get an error message
saying:

Error 0x8007048F: The device is not connected

Thereafter, "mycomp" is no longer accessible (until I log off the remote
machine and log back in again).  If I try to do anything with it, I just
get the message:

\\tsclient\mycomp is not accessible. You might not have permission to use
this network resource. ... Attempt to access invalid address.

     I've found that if I patch rdesktop using the patch found here:

http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=2812158&group_id=24366&atid=381349

the problem goes away.  Is there any plan to include this patch, or
something similar in the next release of rdesktop?  I took a look at
the development tree, and the version of the affected file (disk.c)
in the trunk there doesn't seem to have this patch.

      We're doing a pilot project here that provides students with
access to a Windows virtual machine through rdesktop, and we'd really
like to have a fix for this bug when/if we go into production with this
service.
