I've only recently started using rdesktop and find that my session hangs frequently. I was wondering if others on this list have experienced similar behavior, and if so, whether anyone knows of a solution for it. The details are as follows: My client machine (the one I run rdesktop on) runs Fedora 12. My remote machine is running Windows Vista Ultimate. The version of rdesktop I'm using is from the yum package from the Fedora distribution. Version 1.6.0 I typically issue the following command: $ rdesktop -g 95% hostname (However, the choice of option does not seem to change the behavior in anyway.) The RDP session starts normally, and then after a random interval (usually a few minutes to about 1/2 hour), my session hangs and the window no longer accepts keyboard or mouse input and I have to either close the window or, on occasion, even kill the rdesktop process from the shell. I tried various command line options listed on the man page to see if the problem goes away, and I have had no success. I even tried recompiling redesktop from source downloaded from the website (Version 1.6.0), to see if there was any difference in behavior. There isn't. I'm not familiar with the RDP protocol or the source code for rdekstop, but I am a moderately competent programmer and am willing to help debug the problem if anyone on this list can guide me.
