It's an rdesktop bug with Session Directory in Windows Server 2008, I'm
almost certain - I think it was fixed in the svn branch, but not sure.

Subject: [rdesktop-users] Issue with MS Terminal Server load balancing

Hello,

Have an RDesktop client running on Ubuntu 10.x (can't recall at the
moment, believe it's LTS) and am fairly certain they're running the
latest stable release of RDesktop.

Anyways, since we've enabled the Load Balancer feature of Terminal
Server (both 2008 Terminal Servers), the RDesktop user intermittently
cannot logon -- the session initializes and immediately terminates to
the desktop.

I haven't been on-site in a while and am taking a client's word for
it, but when they changed the server parameter to the IP of one of the
2008 Terminal Servers itself, they have no issues (and had no issues
up until the load-balancing switch-over).

Also, there are a few dozen Windows XP users that are using the native
RDP client and none have experienced any issues since the load
balancing has been enabled.

I don't see any debugging options in the man page. Not sure how to
start troubleshooting this. Any ideas/experiences with TS and load
balancing?

TIA
