interact with rdesktop in fullscreen

Hello list,

This is more a Linux-related question but here it is:

According to the manpage of rdesktop, launching the application in
fullscreen "*overrides the window manager and causes the rdesktop window to
fully cover the current screen.*"

This is all right.

However this prevents me from interacting with the application using tools
like wmctrl or xdotool to manipulate the window (minimize or maximize it)

For the record I disabled the toogle combination (ctrl+alt+enter) directly
in the source code (please don't ask me why...!)

Is there a way to manipulate the "full-screened" rdesktop window from the
running session ? (minimizing it and/or launching another application in
front of it)
