Anyone experimented with thousands of timers?

Hi all,

Has anyone experimented with running thousands or even hundreds of
thousands Timers inside your Click config?
How has this impacted overall performance?
Were you running multiple threads? If so did you make use of the relatively
new multithreaded scheduling code Eddie committed a while back where you
can schedule element timers on threads?

Any insights are welcome :)
