Samba 3.0.1pre3 available for download

This is another preview release of the Samba 3.0.1 code
base and is provided for testing only.  This release
is *not* intended for production servers.  Use at
your own risk.  There have been several bug fixes
since 3.0.0 that we feel are important to make
available to the Samba community for wider testing.

This release does fix a few core dumps in the 3.0.1pre2
release and corrects point-n-print for Windows 2K/XP
clients.

The source code can be downloaded from :

The uncompressed tarball and patch file have been signed
using GnuPG.  The Samba public key is available at

A simplified version of the CVS log of updates since 3.0.1pre2
can be found in the the download directory under the name
ChangeLog-3.0.1pre2-3.0.0pre3.  The release notes are also
available in the same directory.
