2.2.8a RPMs for SuSE Linux 8.0, 8.1, 8.2

Hello,

2.2.8a RPMs are available at ftp://ftp.SuSE.com/pub/projects/samba/ and
http://www.samba.org/samba/ftp/Binary_Packages/SuSE/

For a quick changes overview of the SuSE package look at the README in
this directory.

In /usr/share/doc/packages/samba/README.SuSE the specialities of the
SuSE Linux Samba package are described. You have to install the
samba-client package or view it with a tool like mc to access this file.
There you find a explanation how to switch between smbpasswd and LDAP
based authentication.

With /usr/share/doc/packages/samba/examples/smb.conf.SuSE you have a
full commented and with other examples enriched version of the SuSE
Linux default smb.conf. While /etc/samba/smb.conf only contains the
active, non Samba default parameters.

Packages for older SuSE Linux versions - 7.2 and 7.3 - might follow if
time permits.
