Package for solaris 1.3

Hello:

I am a beginner in using SAMBA, i have a sparc solaris
1.3 . I just downloaded the binary pakage
SAMBAusr.tar.Z from ftp://au1.samba.org 
The compressed with pkgadd command-line file gives,
when uncompressed, untarred, only one directorie
/SAMBAroot). I try to find out, en vain, the
installation steep's in README files, by looking at
the process status on my desk i find that the 2
deamons smbd and nmbd turnning also the netbios-snn
and -ns entry at the /etc/services! it's may prouve
that's the samba-server on my desk is Ok? 
Also,the configuring file smb.conf does not exist on
my desk, is't normal or should i create it?
Should i start with an other samba binary package?
