Hello,

I've been looking all over the the place for ANY version of Samba built for
AIX. The AIX binary directories at samba.org and all mirrors are empty. I
finally located built versions of 2.2.4 and 2.2.5 here:

http://aixpdslib.seas.ucla.edu/packages/samba.html

This page claims the originals came from the binary directories at samba.org
as recently as 21/08/2002. Does anyone know what's going on here? AIX
doesn't include a C compiler in the standard distribution, making prebuilt
packages much more needful. Wonder why they were cleaned out?

For my part, I've downloaded the pre-built gcc package from this same
source. I've done without long enough.
