Anyway, about the samba 2.2.5, I tried it, but as you probably knows, 
stable debian version is never "up to date" so I built my own debian 
package... And it didn't worked with my config file (nor no one else)
I just succeed to get the computer name on the "windows neightborought" but 
it was impossible to access tou ressources... So I downgraded to official 
debian release...
