Yes I know and agree. What puzzles me is that "other" systems can access
the share.

The Samba versions were upgraded to 4.22 (Trixie backports) two weeks
ago along with 2 other Samba file servers. This one is only serving the
industrial systems, hence the NT1 setting. IF there is an authentication
error, would it be possible to have a "no auth" setting just for testing
purposes? Dont know if the robot's GUI would choke though. We have no root
or system level access so troubleshooting that machine is difficult without
the suppliers help (which is really hard to get btw. Located in France and
not very coherent or easy to communicate with in English :).

I have not started a packet trace so hopefully I will have more details
soon.
