Hi everybody again,

Could be a problem that AD Schema is 88 which correspond to WS2019 and my
functional schema is 2016?

Subject: [Samba] Domain function level
"
Hi everybody,

I would like to ask for advice how to repair Domain level error, if it is

possible.

Short intro first:

I installed two devuan based severs with samba 4.22.8 last month. I
configured

samba-ad-dc, upgraded schema to 2016, everything looked good. This is not my

first installation. Yesterday I returned back to the tasks and plane to
connect

PCs, NAS, ... and strat production use, but when I made last check I

discovered the error at primary controller:

ERROR: Domain function level is higher than the lowest function level of a
DC.

Correct this or reprovision!

I checked the smb.conf, at both servers is functional level 2016, check

database, but at both servers I got 0 errors. I checked history and I
checked

functional level after raising level, so it must be OK at that time.

When I check functional level at backup server I get correct answer:

Domain and forest function level for domain 'DC=mydomain,DC=com'

Forest function level: (Windows) 2016

Domain function level: (Windows) 2016

Lowest function level of a DC: (Windows) 2016

AD Schema is version 88

Unfortunately I (google) did not find any usable solution of this problem.

Can somebody give me an advice how to correct this problem without

reprovisioning? If I understand well, reprovision is new start and I need
made

all settings from the scratch.

Thank you very much for your help.
