It took a bit to me to found the correct command line... anyway seems to me that does not behave exactly as icacls; if in a folder i do: icacls Folder /grant SomeGroup:(OI)(CI)M and in explorer i open the security tab, i spot an acl with a 'Modify' label, as expected; if i do: smbcacls //server/share Folder -a ACL:SomeGroup:ALLOWED/OI|CI/CHANGE and again i open in esplorer the security tab i spot an 'custom privilege' that have modify with some other bits. There's some tutorial on 'icacls and smbcacls' with examples and command equivalence?
