App server does not reconnect to file server when file server comes up after app server

Follow below steps exactly to regenerate issue:

turn off file server.
wait until file server is completely off.
reboot app server
wait until app server is fully up
turn on file server
wait until file server is fully up
now try and upload or download a document from the instance.

Application is not able to access the file server.

what i understand is when application try to connect with the file server
using JCIFS and at that time if file server is not up then it's throw the
exception like "jcifs.smb.SmbException: Failed to connect: ".

if i up the file server and try to connect again, JCIFS throws the same
exception again even though file server is up.

application is used jcifs1.3.17.jar.

if any body have the solutions then pleas let me know.
