   There's one other test failure, t004, when checking serveez in Guix.
   I'll report when I can more fully characterize the failure and the
   environment.

Any news?  Aside from the VPATH problem, there have been other bugfixes;
perhaps the t004 failure is related to them.  Could you try a build from
repo?  (If inconvenient, i can provide a diff or pre-release tarball.)
