The new version of the SILC Server is now available! The source package
of the software is available from the following sources:

        http://silcnet.org/
        ftp://ftp.silcnet.org/

An upgrade release SILC Server 0.9.17 is out. This version fixes some
serious bugs and introduces new features. There has been some crashes
related to the WHOIS with public keys which this version fixes. There
also has been cases where the server consumes all CPU and/or crashes. A
bug related to that was found and fixed. This version also introduces
public key support to WATCH command as a new feature. Upgrading from
older version is strongly suggested.

Summary of Changes
------------------

o Implemented the user limit to the CMODE_CHANGE notify and to the CMODE
and JOIN command replies, as defined in the new protocol specs.

o Implemented the public key support to WATCH command, as defined in
  the new protocol specs.

o Added asynchronous connecting to remote router/server.

o Fixed the WHOIS public key deleting.

o Several other bugfixes were also made.

The full list of changes is available on the website and in CHANGES file
in the source package.

Installation
------------

The source package is compiled and installed as instructed in the INSTALL
file found from the package. Quick installation:

  ./configure
  make
  make install

Known Issues
------------

- Known Issues in SILC Server

  - Two or more servers with same IP must not be linked to same network,
even if server ports are different. This is limitation in current
implementation and may cause desync problems in the network.

  - Adding or removing listenning interfaces (secondary interfaces in
silcd.conf) does not work in rehash (rehash is kill -HUP <server PID>).
Changing listenning interfaces requires reboot of the server.

  - Router to router connections may not work as expected.
