silc channel invites broken on latest releases?

Dear SILC developers,

I just upgraded to the latest SILC versions, client 1.1.4 and server 1.1.11
(from client 1.0.3 and server 1.0.2) and everything seems to work
fine except channel invitations -- when users send channel invitations
the recipients aren't getting them.

I'm mainly wondering if this is a known problem. I looked around
but haven't found any similar complaints. I looked at the silc
client code briefly and it looks like invitation messages should
still be working in the same way as before.

This is on a 64-bit FreeBSD system by the way.

Any information or suggestions would be appreciated.
If this is not a known problem, what things could I do to quickly debug it?
