[WEB REQ] silc won\'t start. i create the public/private key pairs, and it asks for the passphrase again, then shuts down - silc version 1.0.2

Software: silc version 1.0.2
Operating System: gentoo linux 2006.0 unstable
Installation: source

silc won\'t connect to any server on the
list on the website. it\'ll ask for my
passphrase, and i\'ll type it in, correctly,
and it shuts down, with no error message,
nothing. gaim tells me cannot initialize
silc protocol
