: i have written my own silc client. it has an very different concept to : other silc/chat clients. it has _no_ user interface. all the input is : done by writing to fifos. the output is written to files. so you can run : it as a daemon and write your own scripts around it. : : si [1] ( name of the client ) has the most features of silc implemented, but : it is very untested. so if you have time and like the idea, you can : download [2] and test it. : Good idea, I like it. If develoepd further, and if it supports all features and handles error conditions, it might be a great tool to use as a testing tool for SILC server. Test cases would be just simple, or complex, scripts. Though, it may not scale very well when there are thousands channels for example in a complex test case... Even still, good work. You might also add multimedia inputs and outputs for sending images, music, etc... :) Or maybe even codec based inputs/outputs so that you could stream video and audio directly. :) OTOH, /dev/dsp would serve as both input and output. :) Pekka ________________________________________________________________________ Pekka Riikonen priikone at silcnet.org Secure Internet Live Conferencing (SILC) http://silcnet.org/ _______________________________________________________________ Info: https://lists.silcnet.org/mailman/listinfo/silc-users Archive: https://lists.silcnet.org/pipermail/silc-users FAQ: http://silcnet.org/support/faq/
