: > to. At which point do you get the errors? After you have connected and : > refreshed buddy list or before that? : : its a bit hard to say, since the refreshing of the buddy list and the dialog : boxes happend at pretty much exactly the same time. but after connecting a : few times, i'd say the error happens a few milliseconds before the : refreshing of the buddy list. : : no errors in the logfiles of the server, either. but i noticed that the : server reports the connection as having PFS, although "perfect forwarding : secrecy" is not enabled in the pidgin options. : The fact that you have created new key and the server key looks valid, I suspect that it's one of the keys on your buddy list. You can verify this my renaming your .purple and your .silc directories and then starting from scratch. Create new account to the server and connect. If the error doesn't happen then one of your buddies probably have malformed key. The keys are in .silc/clientkeys/.
