Hello. I archive newsgroups with slrnpull. Periodically I would like to make an archive package containing the spool. Because I want avoid duplicates in the archive packages, I would like to delete all articles from the spool. How to do it correctly? What if I replace .minmax file "123 234" with "235 234"; would that mean that the spool is empty and that next I want articles starting from 235? The minmax "1 0" is used that way when group is empty. If the above would work, could the cleaning be done by (1) Fixing .minmax files, (2) fixing minmaxes in data/active, and (3) deleting .overview files, (4) deleting all articles? Does expire work? My slrnpull.conf has expire set to 0 which mean "no expiration". I want to keep it at 0 so that I don't accidentally delete anything, but let me know if changing it temporarily does work.
