Well, Thomas has put some effort into supporting slang2 in slrn, thus enabling slrn to use UTF-8 to display Unicode characters. There is a screenshot showing this: <http://slrn.sourceforge.net/images/slrn-utf8.png>. However, some time ago, Thomas also wrote that he currently hasn't got much (or any) time to work on development of slrn. So I'm not sure when we will see a new version of slrn that has got real UTF-8 support. Jens
