Double draw of cmdline (was: C-u doesn't work in beta w/ slang2; slang errors garble display)

Same happens when I do tab completion (c&p overlong line), eg.
after typing `:':

Temporary file (^G aborts): La                                                                                                                      /Users/chris/LaTeX/

It doesn't disturb the functionality though; it just looks ugly
until a manual redraw.
