Like goto_article with the retrieval power of locate_article?

The goto_article command ("j") selects articles by server article
number, but can only select from the ones retrieved when going into
the group (i.e. the ones in the currently displayed list of headers).


On the other hand, locate_article ("ESC l") can retrieve any article
on the server --- but only by Message-ID.

(But the RFC977 ARTICLE command can take a server article number as
well as a Message-ID, independently of which articles or headers the
client has already fetched.)

Is there any way to get slrn to retrieve an article by server article
number (rather than Message-ID), without having to go back up to the
group list and back in to retrieve a wider range of headers?
