I thought about trying to fix it, it but it's almost 3000 lines of Perl, and Perl makes me bleed from the ears. So I wrote a more capable replacement that handles nested parts, multipart/signed (doesn't actually verify sig), and will render html using w3m if it needs to. And it's only 60 lines of code.
