Ooops, I was wrong there. The || and && operators were only
introduced after 2.0.7, just had a look at the changlog. Sorry
for the confusion.

Yes, you should be fine; probably the branch should be called
backward compatible instead of slang1.

Note: You don't have to reinstall the python scripts, the
branches only differ for S-Lang.

Mind you, the branch is not tested as extensively as the default,
as I am using the latest S-Lang version. So feedback is welcome.
