My apologies if I am pointing out an > error in my setup rather than a problem with this slrn source package > :-) No, it's a bug in the slrn_0.9.8.1pl2~cvs20070125.orig.tar.gz package, take a look in the autoconf subdirectory, the problem is related to *automake* rather than *autoconf*. There are some soft links to /usr/share/automake-1.10/ which of course only work if you've got automake 1.10 installed on your machine. You should either install automake 1.10 or replace the links with appropriate /usr/share directory of your installed automake version.
