automake 1.10 and autoconf 2.61 are required for cvs compilation

Just wanted to clarify something about the compilation of slrn from cvs.
I recently attempted compilation of the cvs version but got errors in the
./autogen.sh stage. The problem appeared to be that I did not have automake
1.10 and autoconf 2.61. All working now.
Thomas Wiegner mentioned, IIRC, that this was due to a Debian package
maintainer had not used 'make dist' and symlinked files were included in the
tarball. While it is true that I use Ubuntu, Debian-based, I was *not* using
and Debian (experimental) tarballs. I got the source from slrn sf.net cvs
tree.
So perhaps the automake and autoconf requirements are in the cvs?
