I've experienced no problems with posts containing an X-Face: header. I'm 
using TW's patch too, but I'm compiling from CVS source, not using a .deb.

I can't find that Message-Id, and slrn truncates the header when I try to post 
it to misc.test. (This is possibly because X-Face headers need extra escaping 
in order to be sent by slrn.)

Do you have problems with all X-Face headers or only some? Can you give a few 
examples of public Usenet posts, not borderline mail/news posts of the kind I 
associate with "gated-at.bofh.it", that either have the problem or don't?

One thing I notice is that your specimen X-Face header includes 
quoted-printable encoded characters ("=?utf-8?q?" etc), and I'm not sure 
X-Faces should include anything but ASCII.

Btw, are you using slrnface to display X-Faces? (I'm not, and that might be 
why all the X-Faces I've encouuntered have worked for me but not for you.) If 
so, does temporarily disabling slrnface fix the problem?
