In the case of the italia.test post of which I sent you the headers, From: <[email protected]=?=> is now displayed as From: <§¢årÿù^CÅÒ<94>»ÿïÂB?<92>?> with iso-8859-15 as fallback charset. There's no warning message. I think that's as good as can be hoped for with x-user-defined.
