This is new since version 0.9.8.1pl2 (the time iconv was added to
slrn). Possible options for the charset variable are "display",
"config", "outgoing" and "editor". IMHO pretty obvious what they
mean, but it seems nobody had the time to update the manual.txt.

You're welcome, anyway, I'm sure this will fixed by JED in the next
release.
