Don't mark unavailable messages as read

Hi,

I would like to have a switch to make unavailable message aren't marked
as read in the newsrc file. My intention is to use slrnpull as a mirror
with a subset of the articles. If I'm only, I can use the server to read
articles and if I'm offline with my laptop, I can read news via slrnpull.
When I'm back and have access to the server, I can use the same newsrc
file as with slrnpull and read on.

Is there such an option for slrn? Are there any other ways to do this?
